# Wallet approvals and Duel Sub-Accounts

Real trading requires wallet permissions so duels.trade can submit the actions you approve.

## Authentication signature

Proves wallet ownership and signs you in. It does not send funds.

## Agent authorization

Allows the trading interface to submit Hyperliquid orders for the authorized account. Review the wallet prompt before approval.

## Builder fee approval

Authorizes the maximum builder-fee rate displayed in the wallet request. Actual builder fees depend on trading context and are listed in the [Fee schedule](/fees-and-rewards/fee-schedule.md).

## Duel entry

The Entry Amount transfer is a separate signed action.

## Duel Sub-Account

Portfolio Duel may ask you to:

* Select an eligible existing subaccount
* Create a new Duel Sub-Account
* Choose a funding source
* Enter the amount to fund
* Enable the required account mode

The app can require this flow when your main wallet already has open positions.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.duels.trade/trading/approvals-and-subaccounts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
